A True Story . . .

A major Southeastern University installed network-integrated IP cameras across its campus as a safety precaution after a series of violent acts were committed against female students.

Subsequently, during a thunderstorm, lightning hit a dormitory’s parapet-mounted IP camera. The unprotected camera was destroyed. The lightning surge then traveled to the unprotected network server, destroying both the server and the switch. Speco Technologies Unveils Innovative, Powerful DVR Server
with Intelligent Analytics

The DVRPC16T is a true hybrid DVR that provides
dual network cards and IP camera support for most
popular brands including those with megapixel resolution. Dual NIC’s increase throughput and
increase security by separating IP cameras to their
own network to help minimize degradation of other
networked applications. The DVRPC16T Server

features Intelligent Analytics that can indentify
missing or suspicious objects, by its ability to count
objects going in one direction or another. A ‘Virtual
Fence’ feature can define specific regions to tell if
an object has entered or left a scene and from which
direction. The Face Finder feature on the DVRPC16T
will detect and capture a human face from live and recorded video, and archive it for future reference.

Cloud archiving is another great tool thatcomes with the DVRPC16T Server. This innovative tool allows a user to pull data off the DVR’s database from a remote location. It also allows a user to configure what time to archive and what data gets pulled off of the database automatically. This tool can also be used locally to the DVR from a remote location.

The DVRPC16T Server also has a uniquely advanced search function. The unit allows for simultaneous view/playback, but in a much more robust and sophisticated approach. Not only can users review hourly increments, they can now drill down even further to specific 15 minute intervals time frames, all within a quad storyboard view.
